Call for Volunteers.

posted Dec 1, 2014, 6:47 PM by David Ortiz

More Are Needed  – Especially at Holiday Crunch Time.  The busy winter holidays are upon us, and Masterman needs volunteers with security clearances to help during school days in the weeks ahead and into the new year.

If you have security clearances, please take a look at Volunteer at Masterman School schedule at http://vols.pt/RNeZ1u and sign up to help once or twice before the year’s end.  Any time you can give will be a great help to the school staff.

Key tasks that need covering are:

·       Monitor the Cafeteria Before School: 7:15 - 8:10am

·       Front Office: 1st Shift: 7:30 - 8:30 am

·       Late Desk – 8-9am

·       Monitor High School Lunch / Roof Recess: 10:13 - 11:04 am

·       Monitor 7th Grade Lunch / Roof Recess: 11:04 - 11:55 am

·       Monitor 5th/6th Grade Lunch/ Roof Recess: 11:55am - 12:46 pm

·       Monitor 8th Grade Lunch / Roof Recess: 12:46 - 1:37 pm

These tasks would typically be filled by school staff but are not – for a second year -- due to the School District of Philadelphia’s ongoing budget crisis. Dozens of parent/guardian volunteers have obtained the district-required security clearances to regularly help in these roles at the school, but more volunteers with security clearances are needed.

See http://bit.ly/17C6tET for our FAQs about Security Clearances. If you don't have clearances, and want to volunteer, go to this document for instructions about how to get them: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1i17FhTmMHQrddmvEJ8KlogGgIzIw2w6z33KahEbARKQ/edit?usp=sharing
