Masterman Needs Summer Volunteers Starting in August! No Security Clearances Required (most days).

Masterman School needs parent and high school volunteers to help out during the month of August and early September. If you can help, please check out the schedule using this VolunteerSpot link http://vols.pt/RNeZ1u and sign up! Volunteer shifts are generally 9am-11am or 11am-1pm weekdays. Except for two orientation days -- Aug. 18th for 9th graders and Sept. 3rd for new Middle School students -- summer volunteers are NOT required to hold security clearances.

Summer volunteers help fill the gaps in staffing brought on by the ongoing district budget crisis. You help in the front office, answering phones and sorting mail. On occasion you get sucked into projects elsewhere in the building. Basically your help enables Principal Jessica Brown, along with staff, prepare for the school year instead of answering phones. So please sign up if you can help.

Questions? Email me! A volunteer schedule for the 2015-2016 school year – involving volunteer tasks that do require security clearances --will be posted later in August. If you volunteered with your security clearances on file at Masterman during the 2014-2015 school year, your clearances are still good.

Many thanks,

Janet Pinkerton
