School Funding Advocacy Planning Meeting Set for Thursday, 5/1, 6-8pm at Masterman

Angered by the inadequate funding for Masterman and the rest of Philadelphia's public schools? Want to combat it but don't know what to do? Come to a strategic planning session for Masterman families set for Thursday, 5/1, 6-8pm in the school library. Parking will be available in the school lot.

This is not a venting session. We want to plan for action, and we have to move fast, because the local and state school budget process is taking off.

During this meeting, we will work to identify:

1) The most powerful things we can do to support our students' school(s)

2) How we can best coordinate and communicate with existing groups (such as Education Voters PA, Parents United, Public Citizens for Children & Youth, and Philadelphia Student Union)

3) How we can best coordinate and communicate with other schools

4) Draw up a list of action items
