Library News!

The demolition on the school library has begun! A faithful group of parent volunteers packed up the entire library in a week! Thank you does not even cover the gratitude I have for this group. Ro Gleason , Indre Page , Cris Larson, Cheryl Dore, Jean Hunsberger, Staci Schwartz, Laura Meierson and Donna Aragon offered many hours of packing boxes, sorting through materials, weeding, and de-accessioning materials. Barbara Pratico took home all the curtains and washed them. Jane Piecuch spent many days packing, labeling, stacking, weeding. Julie Naylor-Nolas, and Geoffrey Gee were here every single day managing the project and taking on jobs above and beyond the call of volunteer duty. (Part of that duty included steering me in the right direction as I ran around like a chicken with its head cut off!) We got it all done and Wednesday, May 16th, the School District crew arrived to start the transformation from shabby library to sleek library. Our number one students deserve this comfortable, attractive, and purposeful space. Thank you so much. --Bernadette Kearney
