We are pleased to announce that, because of you, the MHSA has not only met the matching grant challenge but exceeded it by $2,018! The MHSA raised $4,518, with the matching grant, that’s $7,018!

What your donations purchase:

Technology to keep the students competitive:

TI-SmartView - The teacher projects an interactive representation of a TI-84 Plus calculator to the entire class;

Wacom Bamboo Capture Tablet – Instructors use the pen directly on screen to present to a group or collaborate with others in the most effective manner possible

Pro-Quest on-line research database

Practical educational opportunities:

Ivy League Model United Nation fees – Students will have an opportunity debate traditional global issues in a larger forum; address the topics involving piracy and political terrorism; or act as heads of state to debate the issues of technological collaboration at the regional level and the development of African civil society.

Math Forum – An online resource useful for improving math learning, teaching, and communication.

General Supplies:

Science supplies and hundreds of books on grammar, history, science, etc.

Health supplies and workshops

Teachers are encouraged to identify technology and opportunities to enhance the educational experience at Masterman. The MHSA, through your donations, provides the much needed support to enable the teachers to accomplish their goals.
The generous and immediate response to this mid-year fundraising challenge has been phenomenal. The Home and School Association, a 501c3 volunteer-run organization, is able to receive donations at any time, and apply those donations directly to our students' experience at Masterman School.

Thank you.

Angelina Williams, MHSA President
