Our 2013-14 Spring Musical is getting ready!

Dear Parents:

We’re excited to announce our Spring Musical. We’re looking forward to your involvement in making this another successful production.

2013-2014 Musical: We are excited to announce our show: WEST SIDE STORY. The performance dates will be 2/27, 2/28 and 3/1 all at 6:30pm.

AUDITIONS: High School auditions are Tuesday, Thursday and Friday (11/19, 11/21 and 11/22); Middle School auditions will be in early December (an announcement to follow soon). This year, we are in need of a few parent leaders who are interested in leadership roles. Call-backs will be the week following Thanksgiving break.

NEW DIRECTOR: We are also excited to announce that there will be a new director for the show. Please join us in welcoming Mr. Calvin Atkinson to our school. Mr. Atkinson graduated from Temple University’s theater department and brings with him a multitude of musical experience and enthusiasm. He’s very excited to work with our students and we know he’s going to do a great job.

PARENT NEEDS: This year we are looking for parents to assist in facilitating communication between parent volunteers and the musical team. We are also looking for parents who can assist with Middle School supervision, costuming and organization. There are other opportunities for parents to be involved during the rehearsal process, tech weeks and show nights. Please e-mail us if you’re interested in volunteering and in what capacity you’d like to help.

STAY INFORMED: This year, we will use the “Masterman Musical” page on Edline to provide valuable information such as rehearsal schedules, playbill ad information, sponsorship forms, etc. We also have a Twitter account (www.twitter.com/mstermanmusical) and Instagram account (www.instagram.com/mastermanmusical), and we will continue to keep a private Facebook page for the students where they can ask questions and check schedules. We will also continue to provide information via our email as we have in the past.

FUTURE NEEDS: Future emails will be following requesting specific needs such as assistance with props and our President's Day dress rehearsal on February 17, 2013. As we move toward show time, we’ll need help with make up, middle school chaperones and fundraisers. If you are available and able to help, even if just for an hour or two, we'd greatly appreciate it!

Successful production of the musical would be impossible without help from the parents!
