Parent Volunteers with Security Clearances Needed in Masterman Front Office

posted Aug 22, 2013, 7:13 PM by Masterman HSA Webmaster

The Masterman front office staffing level has been slashed due to the school district funding crisis. As a result, Masterman needs parents with security clearances to help in the front office during its busiest hours, from 8am to 11am, especially during the first week of school.

If you can volunteer and have the two forms of security clearance required by the school district (the PA Criminal History Check and the Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance, no later than 2012), please go to the Volunteer in the Masterman Front Office Sign Up and select what hours and days you can help.

We're using VolunteerSpot (an online signup and reminder tool) to organize parents volunteers.

Please sign up for “Volunteer in Masterman Front Office.” Here's how it works in 3 easy steps:

  1. Click this link to go to our invitation page on VolunteerSpot: http://vols.pt/uTJLSU

  2. Enter your email address: (You will NOT need to register an account on VolunteerSpot) Note: VolunteerSpot does not share your email address with anyone.

  3. Sign up! Choose your spots - VolunteerSpot will send you an automated confirmation and reminders. The Masterman front office volunteer schedule is divided into two shifts each school day—an early morning shift from 8am to 9:30, and a late morning shift from 9:30 to 11am. We are seeking two volunteers each shift. Volunteer slots are available through the end of the year.

Again, volunteers are especially needed during the first week of school. If you have security clearances, please sign up to help during that week. An orientation for the front office volunteers will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 4th.

If the staffing levels change, and/or it becomes clear that volunteers are not needed later in the year, we will cut back. But currently, the front office volunteers are very much needed to help students and parents coming in during the morning rush.

You must bring your PA Criminal History Check and the Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance reports to the Masterman front office in order for you to volunteer. Masterman will keep a copy of your clearances on file.

If you are willing to volunteer, but don’t have your security clearances, click on this document: How to Get Your Security Clearances to learn now to get them. The link to this document is:
