HSA Executive Board Elections Update:
2023-2025 Executive Board Announced

Nominating Committee Announces Its Slate

Greetings Masterman HSA Community,

We are excited to present candidates for the Executive Board of the Home and School Association. The positions presented for consideration are President, Vice President 1, Vice President 2, Treasurer, Recording Secretary, and Corresponding Secretary. The term for each of the offices is 2 years, to begin June 1, 2023.

At this time, we have a full slate of candidates—with qualified, engaged parents who are excited to take on the responsibility of leadership.
The following slate of candidates was formally presented at an open meeting of the Home and School Association on May 9, 2023:

President: Anne Albert
Vice President 1: Stacy Koilor
Vice President 2: Michael Wang
Treasurer: Ya-Chi Tsao
Recording Secretary: Jennafer Howard
Corresponding Secretary: Chelsea Badeau

Members may read the nominees' responses to the candidate questionnaire here.

HSA bylaws require a formal vote/election only if the slate of candidates for the board of directors is contested. The opportunity to contest the election of this slate is open until Tuesday, May 16, 2023, at 5:00 pm. To contest a position please email the nominating committee at [email protected].

The process for candidate identification has been as follows, in compliance with the MHSA bylaws:
  1. An open call went out to the Masterman school community to solicit interest in all board positions.
  2. The Nominating Committee reviewed all candidates to determine eligibility to serve.
  3. The slate of candidates was presented to the current Executive Board of the HSA for review.
  4. The slate of candidates was presented to the HSA general body in an open forum with the opportunity to contest, address candidates, and discuss procedural concerns.
  5. There will now be a window of opportunity for contestation. If the slate is not contested, the above candidates will be considered duly elected by the general body on Tuesday, May 16.
