Parents of seniors only will be able to buy 1/2 or 1/4 pages in the yearbook through Walsworth (our yearbook company). This will be due to us by December 18 ~ essentially parents can put photos of their senior and a sweet message for them to read upon receiving their yearbook. Senior Personal Ads are a space in the back of the yearbook where you can purchase space to write a congratulatory message to your graduating senior.  In the past, contributors have submitted wonderful messages with baby photos, pictures with friends and family, senior photos that do not fit the criteria of the portrait section at the front of the book, etc.  The sky's the limit as to how you would like to honor your graduate!

For all ads, please ensure that your photographs are 300ppi or higher to guarantee high quality printing.​

We invite each Masterman family to contribute $100-200 per student in annual HSA dues.

These funds go directly toward classroom needs, teacher/coach grants, student activities, the school library, our musical program, building improvements, and so much more.

If this amount is not possible for your family, please give what you can—every contribution truly matters, whether it’s $5 or $500.

All parents/guardians of seniors (Class of 2027) were sent their senior photos for review.

Students must select 2 photos for the yearbook: 1 cap & gown photo and 1 non cap & gown photo. If students have trouble logging in or accessing images, they need to email Ms. Aubry ([email protected]) - Students can select their images by adding two to the "favorites" gallery. If a student does not choose, TAC Images will pick on behalf of the student.

Senior portrait makeups and retakes will be all day on September 3rd, 2026. A schedule will be posted for that soon on the 2027 Google Classroom page.

The Class of 2028 will NOT get portraits taken this fall. Instead, juniors will be scheduled in May, 2027 on May 19 & 20th for their individual senior portraits by TAC Images.

Grades 5th/6th, 7th/8th, and 9th/10th will be getting their school pictures taken September 9-11. TAC Images should be sending a schedule soon.

​We always love having parent volunteers help facilitate student movement on picture day. We had a great team last year! If you wish to help this year, please email Dr. Graham ([email protected]) and Ms Aubry ([email protected]). 

This past June and July, students from Masterman travelled to Lima, Peru to participate in a medical service-learning project through the organization MedLife.

For 10 days, students volunteered in local schools and mobile medical clinics to assist in beautification, medical intervention, and community development in some of the region's most struggling neighborhoods.

The MedLife chapter at Masterman will be bringing some of their lessons back to Philadelphia through fundraisers and volunteer opportunities. 

Congratulations to Masterman's 2026 NHD team! Two groups qualified for and competed at NHD nationals in June at the University of Maryland. 

Eoin Daly, Owen Kuster, and Corinne Xu competed their excellent group documentary, "From 'Miniature Adults' to Pediatric Patients: How the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia Revolutionized and Reformed American Pediatric Healthcare."

Leila Golzari-Hunt, N'Yahmé Joslyn, Olivia Kang, Eliana Kelberg-Gross, and Sophia Plastaras competed their group performance, "One Voice, One America: How Marian Anderson’s Lincoln Memorial Performance Set a Precedent for Reform." The group qualified for run-offs, earning a TOP TEN finish in the entire United States!!!!

A special thanks to parent Brandy Meyers who brought the team to Maryland and made the trip possible.

2026-2027 high school fall sports begin preseason training the week of August 17th. Middle school sports begin the third week in September.  Students who wish to participate in athletics during the coming school year must submit a CIPPE packet  (pages 1-6) before they practice or tryout. Be sure that Section 6 is signed, stamped and dated by a physician or nurse practitioner. Section 6 must be dated after May 1, 2026.

Completed CIPPE Packets can be submitted in person to the team coach on the first day of practice, or sent to Athletic Director Mr. Roache ([email protected]).

The boys varsity volleyball team opens its state playoff journey on Tuesday, June 2nd against Crescentville HS in Mountaintop, PA!.

The team is performing at its peak and believes it can have a real impact in this year's tourney. The team arrived in the event courtesy of a strong victory over catholic league representative Archbishop Wood.

The sky's the limit for this group.

What to wear:
PLEASE mark down when you should be coming to school dressed to impress for your senior portraits. This is your time slot and it cannot be changed.  ALSO NOTE: on Friday - please come with nice clothes as well so we can do your GROUP photos and a class photo on the patio. 

What should you wear?

Students who wear masculine-presenting formal attire:
A button-down shirt (preferably white or light blue), necktie or bow tie, and dress pants (black or navy blue). Suit jackets (in black or blue) are highly encouraged!

Students who wear feminine-presenting or inclusive formal attire:
A formal dress, a tailored pantsuit, or an elegant blouse and skirt or pants in blue, white, or black.

Students who wear gender-neutral or non-binary formal attire:
A well-fitted button-down shirt or blouse (white, blue, or black) with dress pants, a tailored pantsuit, a jumpsuit, or a combination that makes you feel confident and comfortable in these colors.

SOME TIPS:
The Tailored Suit: A crisp white button-down shirt, a navy or black suit, and an optional tie in blue or black.
The Formal Jumpsuit or Pantsuit: A sleek black or navy blue jumpsuit or pantsuit paired with a white top or contrasting blue accessories.
The Classic Dress: A formal dress in black or navy blue, or a classy white graduation-style dress.

UPDATE with pricing:
To ensure we are actively supporting the school's legacy of excellence, we are proud to introduce our new community initiatives for the Class of 2027:
The TAC Images Grant: For every 15 Legacy Collections purchased by Masterman families, our studio will quietly donate one Full Digital Archive Grant (a $545 value) to the school. These grants may be distributed completely anonymously by the administration or guidance counselors to families experiencing financial hardship or facing economic barriers.
​Our goal is to ensure that while we deliver a world-class, premium portrait experience for Masterman families, we also build a framework where no student is left out of preserving this incredible academic milestone.

The Duke of Edinburgh Award recognizes students for their commitment to service, skill development, physical recreation, and adventurous journeys. Earning the Bronze Award reflects perseverance, leadership, and a willingness to challenge oneself through sustained personal growth and community engagement.

Congratulations to Masterman seniors Joe Faranda and Gael Chang Ortiz whose short film, The Keeper, won the Philadelphia Film Society's Rising Filmmaker Competition and was featured this weekend at their festival.
