Girls' Soccer and Tennis Underway

The girls soccer and tennis teams both got off to strong starts in their league openers this week!

The soccer team brushed aside Rush Arts with a convincing 9-1 victory. Freshman Leila Saxton led the way for the Dragons with 4 goals. Keeper Abby Dahan was strong in net throughout the contest, and the entire group seemed to be in midseason form. Coach Marcello was please with the play, but looks for even more from this group as the season progresses.

The girls tennis team played a competitive game against Central with every individual match tightly contested. Wren Best, Rowan Bastien, Kayla Kelberg-Gross & Karli Saltzman played strong doubles matches for the Dragons, while the singles were led by Sophia Plastaras, Vivienne Plastaras and Zoe Nussbaum. Central got the win on this day, but much hangs in the balance come playoff and championship time.
